I'm so thankful for Sundays. I really believe all people need one day in seven to physically rest. The Bible says that God rested on the seventh day from creating everything. Now I don't believe God got tired do you? I sorta think He left an example that everyone needs a physical break. I don't care which day you pick but one in seven to rest you really need. We still do the necessay work like watering the animals and anything else we have to do but the rest of the day we try to relax or do things that are relaxing to us. It sure makes the next week eaisier to take and by Monday we're usually ready to go.
Occasionally we have an emergency come up and we have to work hard on Sunday and when we do it seems to throw the whole next week out of whack. We start the week tired and never seem to catch our stride till we get our day of rest the next Sunday. I guess Jesus said it best when He said, "The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath". I think He was saying that a day of rest from our toils is a gift from God. He never intended for it to become another burden, men have done that to it. I enjoy worshipping the Lord with my friends on Sunday but my body needs a rest too so we try to do both on Sunday, thanking God for such a thoughtful gift He made for us.
