Well it looks like the corn is all right. Late this afternoon as the sun was about to go down you could see a lot of the corn had pushed out of the ground. It's funny that you can't see it too well when the sun is high in the sky but when the sun is low the light comes at the right angle and you can see clearly what kind of stand you have.
In a few days the rows will start to turn green as the first leaves begin to open and if the weather stays warm stand back. Corn grows so fast once it gets going you need a tape measure to keep up with it. I never make much money on sweet corn and my daughter Liz says I ought to quit growing it and to tell the truth I've thought about it myself. I love to watch it grow though. I guess as long as the Lord gives me strength and health to farm I'll grow corn if for no other reason than to watch it grow.
