Got several nice showers today, even a brief thundershower. As Sue and I were watching the lightning and rain Sue said she sure was glad she wasn't a cow. My brother in law, Jimmy, has angus cattle in the pasture beside the ones we use. I guess cows are either brave or stupid and I place my bet on stupid. Not only do they stand out in the lightning but they all bunch up together and stand under a tree. It's a miracle they're not all dead after a thunderstorm. We once had some goats get killed by lightining but so far no cattle have been killed. The cattle don't seem to realize the danger and I'm kind of glad they don't. If they did they would probably break down the fence, bust into the house and watch the storm from the livingroom with us.
