As I'm sitting here writing this the 100 new little chicks that arrived earlier this week are in a brooder on the kitchen floor. We were going to have the brooder out in the shop but we had a brief cold snap so we put them in the kitchen. Hopefully we can move them out today as they are starting to smell a little. Beside the brooder is a dog crate with one of Liz's female dogs in it. Reba(the dog) is due to have pups any day so Liz moved her in to watch her more closely. Besides all that, Duke is sitting next to the table waiting for someone to give him a piece of biscuit. You gotta love it!

Now you can see why I'm ready to get outside and to work. My brother in law Jim had some surgery recently so he can't do any lifting for awhile. He does the bees and honey so I told him if he needed help to call. I've never been in a bee suit with thousands of mad bees around me so that should be interesting.

We got the tomatoe plants put out yesterday and the sweet corn was planted last week so everything is moving right along. There was a hole in the greenhouse plastic right near the ground and claw marks. After thinking about what happened we decided that Liz must have shut up a cat in the greenhouse by mistake when she shut the door for the night and the little devil just made his own exit door.
