Well a freeze finally got the pepper and tomato plants. We made it all the way to Nov. 26th which is pretty good. I spent Saturday removing twine and cutting the vines off the cages. Today I plan to start pulling the cages. All we have left for sale now are the brown eggs.

I bought a new tractor a couple of weeks ago. We have about outgrown the little L175 we've had for 15 or so years. I considered several tractor brands but decided to go with Kubota again. I found a used 2003 L3130 down near Valdosta Ga. which is about 250mile south of here at the Florida border. I borrowed my brother-in-law's truck and trailer to go get it. I left at 4:00AM so I could get back through Atlanta before rush hour. It cost me $90 in gas to get there and back. Not very good fuel economy! I'm pleased with the new addition, I just hope it does as well as the L175.

We have a new subdivision going up beside us. The homes start at $600,000 and boy are they BIG! The lots are only 1/3 acre so the houses really fill them up. Folks ask how I feel about it and I just say that what I see when I look that direction are more customers with money to spend. Hmm... I may have to reconsider my prices for next year. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
