Shirt sleave weather in Janruary!! What's next? We've been having some unusual weather the last couple of weeks. The temps have hovered in the 60's to low 70's and The wood heater has taken a rest. So far all the fruit plants have stayed dormant but if this continues another week or so I'll start to get nervous. If the plants break dormancy then a hard freeze can damage the blooms in the buds.
We've nearly finished the mulching and I've only got a few more rows to go but I'm about out of wood chips. I've tried to contact the man I get them from but his cell phone has been off and all I get is his answering machine on his other line. Maybe he's taken a vacation.
Sue and Liz are going to the Eukanuba dog show in Florida with Duke this weekend. Duke made it into the top 25 Staffordshire Bull Terriers in the nation and got an invitation to the show. The weather is supposed to turn back cold this weekend so I'll be taking care off all the animals in the cold. They'll only be gone for 3 days so I can't do much damage in that time.
