The weatherman is predicting an ice storm this weekend. Now of the 3 types of frozen prcipitation frozen rain is the worse. Snow is pretty, sleet is usually just a nuisance but frozen rain can be a real problem. It builds up on the tree limbs and if it gets too thick down they come. They're predicting up to 1/2 inch which is enough to cause trouble.
I'll get the chainsaw all gassed up and ready to go this afternoon but I hope I won't need it. It's been quite a while since we had a bad ice storm and I'd just as well this one pass us by too. It's one of those things you just have to wait and see what happens.
On a happier note Madeline the Goat had 4 babies a couple of days ago. Becky has been helping Sue make sure they all get milk from the Moma. If you don't watch one will sometimes not get any and start to go downhill. Becky enjoys it and I'm sure at least one of the baby females will have to join the flock if not both of them. It's awful hard to sell an animal you work with so closely.
