I've been looking for some used tractor equipment. It's always a challange to find good used anything. No matter how careful you are you can still get burned. The rewards for buying used is the lower price, but like with everything else in life there is a risk for that benefit. I buy lots of used farm stuff and I'd say my success rate is over 80% good stuff but it's the other 20% that you remember for a long time.
There's an old saying about buying used equipment. A man told his son, "Son, oats are $3.00 a bushel when they're fresh and new. If you get them after they've gone through the horse they're much cheaper." That's the trick in buying used, making sure what you're buying isn't, "used up". Wish me luck.
