2005-03-12 - 6:52 p.m. Well, we got the chicken house moved. I had planned to take some pictures but we needed every able body to get the job done and there were no idle hands around to take the shots. I got my brother-in-laws tractor and put the end loder forks under one side of the house and raised it up. We blocked this side, then I took another tractor with some rear 3 point hitch forks and backed the forks under the side. Then I drove the end loder tractor to the otherside and raised up the other side just off the ground. Sue drove the tractor in front and I drove the end loder on the rear. When Liz gave the signal, Sue and I started out in low range , 1rst gear. We crept along at less than 1mph and in just a short we had moved it the needed 20 feet. Liz and Becky gathered up any chickens that squeezed out then we carefully set it down, making sure no chickens were under the runners. We got the job done with no loss of life or limb, chicken or human. The chickens have adjusted like nothing ever happened and are set for another year.
