Boy, it's been almost a month since I last added to the diary. I have been so busy that I haven't had time to think. We finally got a stand of corn after planting it 5 times. The tomatoes are growing well and the rest of the garden has been planted. We've had good weather this month, a bit dry, but enough rain and lots of sunshine. It comes close to being perfect growing weather.
We sold the young goats and that has gotten rid of a load of trouble. Goats are hard enough to keep in, young goats are almost impossible. They're like teenagers with nothing to do and only mischief on their minds. A sure recipe for trouble.
The orchard is doing well. The apples look very good this year but they still have a long way to go. I never claim to have a good crop of anything until it's picked and in a container. It's a, "don't count your chickens before they hatch" thing. If all goes well, Lord willing, we should start aelling produce around the 1st part of July.
